Downstream users digested inventories, and silicon metal in-plant inventory slightly increased [SMM Weekly Survey on Silicon Metal]

According to the SMM survey, the weekly production of sample silicon enterprises in Xinjiang (accounting for 79% of capacity) was 39,810 mt, with a weekly operating rate of 82%, which remained basically stable WoW.

According to the SMM survey, the weekly production of sample silicon enterprises in Xinjiang (accounting for 79% of capacity) was 39,810 mt, with a weekly operating rate of 82%, which remained basically stable WoW. The in-plant inventory increased slightly WoW. The three major leading enterprises in Xinjiang have no recent maintenance plans, and their operating rates remain stable. Smaller plants in Ili mainly fulfilled pre-existing contracts and spot orders, keeping the overall supply relatively stable. The quotations from silicon companies have remained at the level after the increase two weeks ago, mainly fulfilling previous orders last week.

The weekly production of sample silicon enterprises in Yunnan (accounting for 30% of capacity) was 8,050 mt, with a weekly operating rate of 95%, which slightly decreased WoW. The in-plant inventory increased slightly WoW. About 9 furnaces in Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan (including non-sample enterprises) were shut down from late August to September. The production levels of other silicon enterprises remained stable. Quotations of Yunnan silicon enterprises remained stable, with ex-factory prices of 3303# silicon around 12,300-12,400 yuan/mt.

The weekly production of sample silicon enterprises in Sichuan (accounting for 32% of capacity) was 4,595 mt, with a weekly operating rate of 70%, which decreased WoW. Some sample enterprises halted production, and some enterprises currently stockpile and observe the market due to the low spot prices and poor orders.
